Teriyaki Turkey Meatballs

Need a game day snack? These Teriyaki Turkey Meatballs are the perfect game day snack for your next football watch party! They are baked not fried which makes them a bit healthier. Tossing the baked meatballs in the homemade sweet teriyaki sauce  takes them over the top! Try this recipe for your next football watch party!

Makes 20 meatballs 

1 lb ground turkey meat 1/4 cup of Panko breadcrumbs  1 egg  ¼ cup green onion, sliced + more for garnish 1 teaspoon garlic powder 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt Black pepper to taste 1 tablespoon of olive oil 1 tablespoon sesame seeds

Teriyaki Sauce: 1/2 cup low sodium soy sauce 1/4 cup rice vinegar 2 cloves garlic, minced 2 teaspoons fresh grated ginger 2 tablespoons olive oil 3 tablespoons brown sugar

2 tablespoons of honey  1/4 teaspoon black pepper 1 tablespoon corn starch 

1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees. 

2. In a large bowl combine ground turkey, panko breadcrumbs, egg, green onions, salt and pepper. Combine and shape into meatballs. Cook meatballs until cooked through about 20-25 mins.

3. Combine teriyaki sauce ingredients in a small pot and cook until sauce has thickened. 

4. Toss baked meatballs in sauce and garnish with sesame seeds and sliced green onions.
