I know I can't be the only one who loves hibachi restaurants. The food is always so good and so flavorful and I really enjoy watching the chef cook my food in front of me. Before the pandemic, my family would go and have hibachi at least every other month. I remember this time last year I was craving a Hibachi and decided to make it at home. The food turned out great but I had to use so many skillets to be able to cook all the different dishes for this one dinner. I recently purchased a Blackstone Griddle and I made hibachi again a few weeks ago using the griddle and let me tell you...GAME CHANGER! I absolutely love this griddle and how quickly I can make my favorite meals so quickly and all at the same time.
The main ingredient that is key to making hibachi at home is the garlic butter. You will notice it is heavily used at hibachi restaurants and gets added to every dish. You only need soften butter, garlic and a few seasoning to make this compound butter.
You will also need day old rice or rice that have been chilled for a few hours. You don't want to use freshly cooked rice for your hibachi dinner because the rice will be mushy and not firm. I personally don't like eggs in my fried rice but you can certainly add them into your rice. I only added diced onions into my rice but you can could add peas and carrots as well. The restaurant that I frequent doesn't use any veggies in the rice which is why I didn't use them in mine.
